What's on the Dungeon of the Mind
About me and what goodies are inside
Let me introduce myself and this blog. You'll discover all my posts and sections linked here as they unfold.
A Bit About Me
Rather than bore you with details of my biography, let’s get to the point: I've spent two decades immersed in tabletop role-playing games, mostly as a game master. While I'd love to make this my full-time career, the local market doesn't quite support that dream yet - hence my day job. My background is in clinical medicine, but I've found my calling as a consulting psychologist. My approach to therapy is gentle and non-directive; instead of trying to fix my clients, I guide them through the exploration of their inner worlds.
During one therapy session, I had an insight: my roles as dungeon master and psychologist are remarkably similar. Whether I'm leading adventurers through imaginary realms or helping clients navigate their inner landscapes, the core principle remains the same - it's all about guiding groups on their personal quests. This realization sparked the creation of this blog.
The Content Ahead
While my ambitions are grand, time is precious. I'm not here chasing fame or fortune - just seeking meaningful connections and conversations, which is why Substack feels like the perfect home. Here's what you can expect:
Pebbles
I collect moments and transform them into gaming material and short tales. That sweet girl with oversized headphones I passed on the street? She might appear in my retrowave setting as a phantom hacker. That potent Cuban rum someone offered me at a gathering? Its rich aroma could inspire a tale of a pirate mourning a ship named after his lost love. These shorter pieces will start in Notes before evolving into fuller features.
Mechanics and Worlds
I am not a game designer, and like any amateur I relish discussing game mechanics, diegesis, meta-models, and narrative structures. Well, my psychology background offers some insights. I'll share observations about how people collectively craft stories, embrace them, and sometimes blur the lines between fiction and reality. Expect passionate praise for some gaming systems and pedantical critiques of others.
cRPG Chronicles
Computer RPGs hold a special place in my heart, especially when my friends are tied up with their professional lives. I'll be sharing reviews and walkthroughs of my favorite role-playing games, complete with screenshots and a mix of forgotten trivia. But beyond mere gameplay, I'll offer psychological perspectives on these digital worlds - because games often reveal more about human nature than their creators intended.
That’s it!
I’ll have some fun writing about games and I hope you join me. I have no intention on monetizing my content anytime soon. You can support me by subscribing to Dungeon of the Mind and just having fun with me.

Looking forward to reading your stuff!
